Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

Location: Cary, North Carolina
Employment Type: Travel Contract

Contract Details

• Length: 13 weeks
• Start Date: ASAP
• Shift: 12-hour night shifts
• Hours: Guaranteed 36 hours per week
• Weekend/Holiday Requirements: 4 shifts in a 6-week period (Friday, Saturday, Sunday)
• Float Requirements: Must be willing to float to Raleigh or North campus L&D departments if not needed at Cary campus
• On Call/Call Back: Not applicable
• Cancellation Clause: Contract may be canceled twice during the 13 weeks due to low census

Required Qualifications

• License: North Carolina or Compact Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Certifications:

  • AHA BLS
  • AHA ACLS
  • AHA PALS
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
  • Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM) - AWHONN
• Experience: Minimum 3+ years in Labor and Delivery nursing (highest required years of experience)
• Charting: Epic experience strongly preferred
• Vaccinations: COVID-19 vaccination and booster required unless exempt for medical/religious reasons; flu vaccination required

Additional Information

• Scrub colors allowed: Red, Black, Gray (solid colors only; no designs unless working in Pediatrics)
• T-shirts worn under scrubs must be solid red, black, gray, or white (no hoodies or fleece jackets; scrub jackets allowed)
• Must be a hard worker, resilient, able to manage change well, and socially engaging
• Prior travel experience is highly preferred but not explicitly required
• No radius rule applies; pay rate is the same for travel and local contracts
