Ultrasound Sonographer - Travel Position

Location: Mankato, Minnesota
Employment Type: Clinical Allied Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

Produce high-quality ultrasound images for physician interpretation, meeting established radiology standards. Requires competency in various imaging equipment and technology.

Job Responsibilities

• Follow proper safety guidelines for self, support personnel, and patients
• Foster teamwork through effective communication
• Ensure high-level patient service through communication, technique, and safety
• Maintain flexibility to work various locations, shifts, and shift lengths
• Perform other duties as assigned to support optimal patient care

• Organized, efficient, and able to multitask
• Ability to work independently
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Willingness to work varied hours, including days, evenings, nights, holidays, weekends, and respond to on-call pager

Education Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited sonography or radiography program

Certification & Licensure Requirements

• BLS certification
• Registry-eligible candidates must be ARDMS registered in either:

  • Vascular Technology (RVT) or
  • RDMS (Abdominal or OB/GYN) within 6 months of employment (RVT preferred first)
• Both RVT and RDMS certifications required within 12 months of employment
• Third certification (Abdominal or OB/GYN) to be completed within 18 months of employment
• Breast imaging providers must obtain RDMS (Breast) certification within 24 months of competency
• Vascular sonography roles exempt from Abdomen and OB/GYN registry requirements if not eligible
• Travelers must have BLS and RDMS or RVT certification prior to start
