Job Opportunity: Clinical Dietician
Location: Houston, Texas
Employment Type: Travel Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Develop, implement, and evaluate patient nutritional care plans.
- Provide age-appropriate assessments for patients at nutrition risk, including diabetes management and education, following established guidelines.
- Adapt nutrition plans to meet specific economic, social, cultural, and age-appropriate patient needs.
- Reassess patients at appropriate intervals and adjust plans of care as needed.
- Provide age-appropriate education to support nutritional plans of care.
- Assess learning needs and readiness to learn for patients and families.
- Participate in the development and review of educational materials and department resources to meet population needs.
- Work hours: 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with participation in the Registered Dietitian call schedule.
- Provide nutrition assessments, reassessments, education, and Medical Nutrition Therapy for the pediatric population.
- Cover a variety of ambulatory and acute care areas alongside a team of experienced dietitians.
- Knowledgeable in pediatrics, including specialized formulas.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) license in Texas
- Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) with at least 1 year of experience, including experience within the last year
- Registered Dietitian (RD) credential
- Licensed Dietitian (LD) in the State of Texas
- Bachelor's degree
- Knowledge of medical nutrition therapy
