Location: Peoria, Illinois
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Night, 12 hours per day, 36 hours per week (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
Unit: Oncology 7H
Role Overview
The staff Registered Nurse is a professional caregiver responsible for a group of patients for a designated time frame. The nurse provides care using the nursing process and is accountable for:
- Completing initial patient assessments and developing and modifying plans of care based on patient and family needs and continuous evaluation
- Implementing nursing interventions and patient care procedures
- Maintaining accurate nursing documentation for the healthcare team
- Reporting and correcting safety hazards and incidents to protect patient and employee safety
- Communicating directly and privately to resolve issues, and offering constructive feedback to peers
- Fulfilling all departmental competency requirements
Required Qualifications
- Minimum three (3) years of oncology nursing experience
- Oncology nursing experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Valid Illinois state RN license in good standing
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
