Location: Urbana, Illinois Shift: Day, 12 hours per day (36 hours per week) Contract Length: 13 weeks Start Dates: Available between 10/26 and 2/15. Candidates interested in a later start date are asked to submit right away.

Role Summary

The staff RN is a professional caregiver responsible for a group of patients for a designated time frame. The RN uses the nursing process to deliver care within the institution's philosophy.

Key Responsibilities

Completes initial patient assessments and develops and modifies plans of care based on patient and family needs and continuous evaluation.
Implements nursing interventions and ED-specific nursing procedures, in collaboration with providers, patients, and families.
Maintains accurate, up-to-date patient documentation.
Takes responsibility for patient and staff safety by correcting and reporting safety hazards and incidents.
Fulfills departmental competency requirements and provides constructive feedback to support peers' professional development.

Required Qualifications

Minimum of three (3) years of Emergency Department (ED) nursing experience, with ED experience within the last year
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing
Valid Illinois RN license
BLS certification issued by American Heart Association
ACLS certification issued by American Heart Association
PALS certification issued by American Heart Association
