Unit

• 8 East MedSurg (Stepdown & Floor)
• 34 beds

Schedule

• 12-hour nights
• Shifts: 7:00 pm to 7:30 am
• Weekends and holidays as scheduled

Required Qualifications

• BLS certification
• RN must be proficient in reading and interpreting telemetry strips
• Must be able to titrate drips
• COVID vaccination required

Unit Details

• Ratios: 1:3 for Stepdown; 1:5-6 for Floor
• Telemetry is present on the unit
• Tele techs post strips each shift
• RT is in-house 24/7
• Vents are on the unit
• Typically staffed with 2-5 CNAs
• Charge Nurse and Transport RN are present at optimal staffing

Submission Requirements

• Can only submit to 1 position at a time across the entire WVU system
• Driver’s license address must be outside 50 miles from the facility
• Previous perm candidates must be gone for 2 years
• Previous travelers there for 1 full year must be gone for 2 years
• All submittals must include an unexpired copy of the candidate’s driver’s license
• Travel teams must be submitted together in 1 email
• Up to 2 candidates per opening may be submitted
