RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist)

Overview

Travel assignment in Council Bluffs, Iowa.
Start ASAP.
13-week contract.
Nights, 3x12-hour shifts.

Required Qualifications

1 year of experience.
ACLS.
BLS Certification.
Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) Verification.

Preferred Qualifications

NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program).
PALS.

Clinical Setting

Inpatient and outpatient coverage.
Areas covered include ER, floors, peds, L&D, nursery, ICU, Sleep lab, OR, and PACU.
Patient population includes adults, peds, and newborns.
Typical workload is 30-40 treatments per day.
Duties include drawing ABGs and occasionally doing EKGs.
RTs assist with intubation.

Scheduling

Every other weekend.
Holidays rotate with permanent staff.
Typically no call.
Call response time is 30 minutes.
Flexible scheduling to help fill holes.

Float Scope

No floating to sister campus.

Additional Details

Department orientation is 2 days.
Scrub color/dress code is wine burgundy.
Equipment includes Drager, A40, LTV, Avea in nursery, V-60, and Vapotherms.
Hospitalist or intensivist is in house 24/7.
