Rad Tech Position - California

Location

• City: Fremont, CA (San Francisco area)

Contract Length

• 13 weeks

Schedule

• 8-hour shifts
• Combination of day and evening shifts (first half day, second half evening)
• Two techs on shift at all times
• Every other weekend required
• Holiday work flexibility needed
• No call or standby requirements

Job Duties & Environment

• Imaging performed: general X-ray including chest, spine, extremities
• Department has 4 rooms plus portable units
• May cover X-ray and CT areas, possible OR coverage
• Radiologist on-site during the day until 6 pm; after hours reads done remotely
• No IV starts required
• Use of Epic EMR and PACS systems
• Equipment includes Phillips, GE, Carestream fixed units, Shimadzu portables
• Lead tech available 24/7
• No Registered Radiology Assistants (RRA) on staff

Required Qualifications

• Certified Radiologic Technologist (ARRT)
• California Fluoroscopy License
• BLS and ACLS certifications
• Proficient in operating in the OR environment
• Experience with general radiology procedures is a must
• Flexibility and adaptability to department needs and scheduling

Orientation & Training

• Unit tour followed by one week of department-specific training

Dress Code

• Ceil blue scrubs (not provided but some available at hospital)
