Radiology Technologist (Xray Tech) - Travel Assignment in Kansas

Job Details

• Location: Garden City, Kansas
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: Nights
• Hours: 12 hours per day, 36 hours per week guaranteed
• Work Schedule: Set night schedules with flexibility for requested time off; weekend and holiday work required depending on shift
• Call Requirement: Sunday night call with a 30-minute response time
• Orientation: Department-specific orientation coordinated with Radiology Supervisor; clinicians must be in-state for orientation week even if some modules are remote

Department & Work Environment

• Radiology Department with 2 X-ray rooms, 2 portable units, and 3 C-arms
• Imaging performed includes outpatient, ER, ICU, floor X-rays, OR, and Fluoroscopy (if working days)
• After 7 pm, coverage includes general ER, ICU, and inpatient X-rays, with occasional surgeries or finishing late surgeries
• Average 5-20 X-rays per shift, occasional surgery assistance
• Equipment used: GE imaging systems
• EMR system: EPIC
• PACS system: Synapse Fuji
• Radiologist coverage: In-house during daytime (M, T, Th 7:30 am - 4 pm), on-call after hours

Required Qualifications

• Certified Radiologic Technologist (ARRT)
• Kansas Licensed Radiologic Technologist (LRT)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA)
• Experience with Digital Radiography (DR) skills and some Operating Room (OR) experience
• Ability to work independently and assist CT technologist with patient transfers
• Must have a valid driver’s license and be within a 60-mile radius for travel purposes
• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required

• Traveler must provide their own radiation badge
• No requirement to start IVs
• No dress code or scrubs provided
• No use of Registered Radiology Assistants (RRA) in the department
