Job Opportunity: Occupational Therapist (OT) - Inpatient Rehab Therapy

Location: Jerome, Idaho
Contract Length: 13 weeks (approximately 3 months)

Job Details

• Specialty: Inpatient Rehab Therapy (Occupational Therapy)

• Setting: Acute Inpatient and Swing Bed units

• Patient Population:

  • Orthopedic total joints
  • Neurological cases including strokes and occasional brain injuries (no TBI)
  • Medical and General ICU patients

• Typical Caseload: 8 to 10 patients per day

• Staffing: 1 therapist per day

• EMR System: EPIC

Requirements

• Licensure & Certification:

  • BLS Certification required
  • No additional certifications required for OT

• Experience:

  • Minimum 1 year of licensed experience in acute inpatient or rehab settings
  • First-time travel therapists are welcome (prior travel experience NOT required)

• Work Schedule:

  • 5 shifts per week, 8 hours each (08:30 AM - 05:00 PM)
  • Monday through Friday to accommodate orientation
  • May need to cover holidays
  • No weekend requirements

• Orientation:

  • 2-3 days of unit/department-specific orientation

• Other Notes:

  • Scrubs permitted but must not match colors of other departments (color options provided upon hire)
  • May float to a nearby medical center when census is low
  • Radius rule: Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius from the facility

Summary

This position is ideal for Occupational Therapists with at least 1 year of acute inpatient or rehab experience who are open to their first travel assignment. The role involves working primarily in acute inpatient and swing bed units with a diverse patient population including ortho and neuro cases. The schedule is a standard weekday shift with potential holiday coverage. Orientation is provided onsite.
