Cath Lab Technologist - Sioux Falls, South Dakota

Job Details

Specialty: Cath Lab Tech
Location: Sioux Falls, South Dakota
Contract Length: 13 weeks (approximately 3 months)
Shift: 4-10 hour varying shifts (05:30-16:00, 06:30-17:00, 07:30-18:00)
On Call: 1 call per week and 1 call weekend every 3-4 weeks, with a 30-minute response time
Floating: No floating to other units

Requirements

Certifications:
- BLS (must be AHA certified)
- ACLS (must be AHA certified)
- RCIS or RCES preferred
Experience: 2-3 years required (use 3 years as the higher requirement)
Prior Travel Experience: Not specified as required

Job Description

Scrub, circulate, and monitor peripheral/vascular cases, right and left heart catheterizations
Possibly scrub devices and work in Electrophysiology (EP) cases
Use equipment and systems including XIM (Philips charting), EPIC, Pyxis, Xcelera, Siemens and Philips fluoro systems

Unit Information

8 fluoro rooms and 1 minimally invasive room without fluoro
Orientation focused on monitoring in XIM and effective scrubbing and circulating

Additional Notes

Scrubs provided (Ceil Blue)
Must badge in and out at the facility
Mandate list to fill any vacant call not picked up

Very traveler friendly. As a traveler CST with 16 years of experience, I loved knowing that the longer I stayed at this facility, the more I could learn. I look forward to returning after the snow has finished falling from the sky.

Cons

Parking at the facility can be a pain if you have a late start. In other words, anything after 6:30am.
