Schedule

• Nights
• 12-hour shifts
• 36 hours per week
• Block scheduling will work with traveler schedule and group days together

Contract Length

• 13 weeks

Required Qualifications

• BLS (AHA)
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
• Experience with labor, postpartum, and nursery in an LDRP unit
• Must be able to care for Level 1 Nursery patients who are 35 weeks or greater
• RN required to titrate Pitocin only

Unit Details

• L&D Beds: LDRP 8
• Triage beds: 2
• Postpartum beds: LDRP 8
• Births: 25 per month
• Follows AWHONN guidelines for ratios
• Charge nurse takes an assignment
• No nurse aids or surgical techs on the unit
• No OB/Neonatologist in house 24/7
• No anesthesia in house 24/7
• RT equipment available
• No tele/monitor techs on the unit
• EFM system: OBIX
• No call or standby requirement
• No floating requirement
