Registered Nurse – Medical Oncology

Location: Cincinnati, Ohio
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (13 weeks)
Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM


Job Description

  • Provide nursing care for patients actively receiving stem cell therapies and participating in clinical trials.
  • Work in a 16-bed and 14-bed unit setting.
  • Administer chemotherapy; experience in chemotherapy administration is required.
  • Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) Chemotherapy certification required or Oncology Nursing Certification Corporation (ONCC) Chemo-bio certification preferred.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Ohio.
  • Minimum of 2 years oncology nursing experience, including experience within the last year.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
  • Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN®).
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
  • Experience in an inpatient setting.
  • Minimum of 1 year travel nursing experience.
  • Medical-Surgical (Med Surg) nursing experience.
  • Telemetry experience.
  • Progressive Care Unit (PCU) experience.
  • Bone Marrow Transplant experience.
  • Experience with Epic electronic health record system.

Additional Information

  • Tdap vaccine is optional unless working with pediatric or infant populations.
  • Influenza vaccine is optional outside of flu season; exemptions considered case-by-case.
  • Specialty and pharmacology exams are recommended but optional.
  • Prior travel experience is not explicitly required.

This position is ideal for an experienced oncology RN with chemotherapy administration skills seeking a night shift long-term assignment in a specialized stem cell therapy environment.
