- Day shift: 08:00 AM – 04:30 PM
- Rotating shifts required for all day shift positions
Job Description
- Provide IV Therapy nursing care across all patient populations (neonatal, infant, pediatric, adult, and geriatric)
- Maintain core IV Therapy skills and competencies including:
- Peripheral IV insertion
- Central Venous Access Device (CVAD) dressing changes
- Non-tunneled CVAD removal
- Reconstitution, instillation, and removal of thrombolytics
- Accessing and de-accessing implanted ports
- Repositioning peripherally inserted central catheters (PICC)
- Ultrasound-guided IV line insertion
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Massachusetts
- Minimum 2 years of vascular access experience, including experience within the last year
- BLS certification issued by American Heart Association or Red Cross
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Proficiency in peripheral IV insertion
- Experience accessing and de-accessing implanted ports
- Skilled in ultrasound-guided IV line insertion
Certifications and Compliance Requirements (must be current and verifiable)
- BLS certification (AHA)
- Primary source verification of RN license within 30 days of start date
- Fit test for N95 respirator within 365 days of start date (no exemptions allowed)
- Respirator Medical Clearance attestation (if fit test required)
- Medication exam with 80% passing score within 365 days
- Documentation of MMR vaccination or immunity
- TB test documentation within 3 months of start date (skin test or blood test)
- Physician health statement within 365 days of start date
- Criminal background check within 45 days prior to start date
- Massachusetts CORI background check within 30 days prior to start date
- National sex offender registry check within 30 days prior to start date
- Exclusion checks (OIG, GSA, MassHealth, NH Medicaid) within 30 days prior to start date
- Education verification of highest degree achieved
- Social Security Number trace for past 7 years addresses
- Submission of 2 professional references (minimum 1 supervisor) within 4 years
- Completion of skills checklist within 1 year
- Submission of resume including 7 years of work experience with city and state
- Candidate submission coversheet required for initial assignment

- Floating to other units is not required
- Patient population includes all ages
- No prior travel experience required for this position
