Job Description
- Minimum 2 years of OR RN experience in an acute care setting required.
- Preferred specialty experience in Orthopedics, Vascular, Robotics, Plastics.
- Scrub experience is a plus but not required.
- Call schedule: 4 calls per 6 weeks (2 weekdays and 2 independent weekend days/nights per 6 weeks).
Required Credentials & Compliance
- Current RN license with Nursys verification within 30 days prior to start.
- License/Certificate verification within 30 days prior to start.
- Completion of facility-specific onboarding and education attestations.
- Ascension Core Competencies (HIPAA, Joint Commission, OSHA) completed within a year of start and updated yearly (minimum 80% score, max 2 attempts).
- Health and immunization requirements including:
- MMR (2 vaccines or positive titer, no declinations accepted)
- Hepatitis B vaccination series or signed declination
- Influenza vaccine (seasonal, exemptions accepted with mask requirement)
- Varicella immunity or vaccination (no declinations accepted)
- Tdap vaccine (valid for 10 years, no declinations accepted)
- TB screening: Positive IGRA or PPD results, negative chest X-ray within a year, and annual TB questionnaire
- 2-Step PPD or IGRA within 90 days of start
- Fit Test for respiratory protection (annual update required).
- Drug screening: 12-panel urine drug screen within 30 days prior to start, with MRO review if applicable.
- Background checks including Social Security Trace, OIG Search, National Sex Offender, and criminal background within 30 days of assignment start, updated annually or after breaks in service >90 days.
- Verification of education, employment, and professional references prior to assignment.
- Valid Driver’s License or State ID (must meet state and compact license requirements).
- Statement of good health or physical exam prior to first assignment, updated annually.
- Skills checklist for clinical specialty completed within one year of start and updated annually.
