Job Opportunity: RN PICC

Location: Wichita, Kansas
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (approximately 13 weeks)


Job Description

  • Insert and manage peripherally inserted central venous catheters (PICC), central lines, mid-line, and peripheral IV catheters.
  • Monitor, record, and communicate patient conditions.
  • Serve as a resource for insertion and maintenance of vascular access devices.
  • Evaluate interventions and patient goals for reassessment, plan revision, and discharge planning.
  • Provide education to staff, patients, and families on care and use of vascular access devices.
  • Required to wear blue scrubs.
  • Utilize Cerner OneChart electronic health record system.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Kansas
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
  • Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience
  • At least 1 year of oncology nursing experience within the last year
  • Infusion nursing experience
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
