Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - Telemetry

Location: Jacksonville, Florida
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: Approximately 13 weeks


Job Description

  • Accepts 36 to 48 hour shifts
  • Every other weekend availability required
  • Chemo certification preferred

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Florida
  • Telemetry nursing experience of at least 1 year, with experience within the last year
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
  • NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
  • EKG competency
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
  • Oncology experience

Onboarding & Compliance Requirements

  • Signed assignment agreement prior to start
  • Completion of core competencies including HIPAA, Joint Commission, NPSG, OSHA topics with minimum 80% passing score
  • Passing score on updated EKG exam (minimum 80%, two attempts allowed)
  • Completion of unit-specific checklist (optional)
  • Completion of required onboarding education and attestations
  • Cerner system test-out and training checklist with signed attestation
  • Recent professional references (at least two)
  • Criminal background check including Social Security trace, OIG search, and National Sex Offender registry
  • Employment verification for the past seven years
  • Drug screening (12-panel) within 30 days prior to start and annually thereafter
  • Verification of education relevant to clinical work within 90 days prior to start
  • Health and immunization requirements including:
    • MMR (two vaccines or positive titer, no declinations accepted)
    • Varicella (two vaccines, serological evidence, or verified history; no declinations accepted)
    • Tdap (valid within 10 years, no declinations accepted)
    • Hepatitis B vaccination series completion or signed declination
    • Influenza vaccine (optional; mask required if declined during flu season)
    • Tuberculosis screening (2-step PPD or IGRA, chest X-ray if positive, annual questionnaire)
    • Fit test for respiratory protection (annual)
    • Statement of good health or physical exam prior to first assignment, updated annually
  • Driver’s license or state ID matching address requirements

  • Badge photo required (forward-facing, white or blue background, no filters)
  • Assignments may require completion of specific vendor or facility onboarding modules prior to clearance
  • Contract worker onboarding completed onsite
