Surgical Technician Job Opportunity

Location: West Burlington, Iowa
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

Provide intra-operative care to patients of all ages undergoing surgical procedures.
Assist in operations under supervision of physicians, registered nurses, and other surgical personnel.
Responsible for creating and maintaining the sterile field in the operating room.
Prepare the operating room by collecting necessary supplies and equipment.
Pass instruments and supplies to surgeons while functioning within the sterile field.
Surgical specialties include ENT, General Surgery, Orthopedics, Podiatry, Pain Management, Ophthalmology, Urology, OB/Gynecology, and Endoscopy procedures.
Additional call hours are required.

Required Qualifications

Surgical Technologist with a minimum of 2 years of experience.
Surgical Technologist experience within the last year.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC).

Additional Information

Must be able to work additional call hours.
High-quality patient care and adherence to sterile technique are essential.
