Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Iowa
• ED - Emergency Department (2 years of experience)
• ED - Emergency Department experience within the last year
• One completed travel assignment within the previous 18 months
• BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• ACLS issued by American Heart Association
• PALS issued by American Heart Association
• TNCC
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Driver's License
• Experience with Epic

Preferred / Nice to Have

• NIH Stroke Scale
• Professional reference from within the past 24 months
• De-escalation certification: CPI, MAB, MOAB, or SAMA

Assignment Details

• Local radius rule: 50 miles
• Float assignment may include the Marion ED freestanding campus
• Unit ratio: 4:1
• Unit bed size: 34
• Patient population includes a mixture of cases with drips and titrations
• Required to work 1–2 of the 3 upcoming summer holidays unless the unit is closed
• Orientation is 16 hours
