MedSurg Stepdown / PCU RN

Overview

• Travel/Contract RN role in Beaufort, South Carolina
• Night shift: 3x12 hours, 19:00–7:00
• ASAP start date
• Contract length: 13 weeks
• Possible extension: Yes
• 1st time travelers accepted
• Cannot live within 50 miles of the facility

Unit and float scope

• Unit profile: 4T MS unit, a 29-bed general surgical and ortho unit with medical overflow
• This is a MedSurg role that frequently floats to Stepdown and MS/Tele units
• Travelers must be comfortable floating frequently
• MS nurses will float to the PCU unit as needed

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in South Carolina
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Med Surg experience
• PCU - Progressive Care Unit (2 years of experience)
• PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience within the last year
• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• IV insertion skills

Preferred

• Travel experience preferred

Schedule details

• Weekdays
• Every other weekend
• Holidays as needed
