Job Opportunity: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics (RRT) - Travel/Contract

Location: New Orleans, Louisiana
Contract Length: 13 weeks (approximately 3 months)
Employment Type: Travel/Contract


Job Requirements

  • License: Louisiana license must be in hand

  • Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience required in Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics

  • Certifications Required:

    • BLS (Basic Life Support)
    • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
    • RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist)
    • Louisiana State License
  • Preferred Experience: Epic system experience preferred

  • Prior Travel Experience: Not explicitly required


Work Schedule

  • Weekend Requirement: Yes, every other weekend
  • Call Requirement: No
  • Float Requirement: No
  • Holiday Requirement: Yes
  • Return to Office (RTO): Strict 5 day max

Clinical Skills & Equipment

  • Experience with special equipment:

    • Nitric Oxide therapy
    • ECMO (Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation)
    • Bedside bronchoscopies
  • Ventilators used:

    • Puritan Bennett 840 and 980
  • Bipap: Phillips V60

  • Transport Ventilators: Pneumothorax, Newport, Parapac


Appearance

  • Scrubs color: Gray

Required Documentation & Compliance

  • Background check within 6 months covering all locations lived/worked/schooled in past 7 years

  • Drug screening within 30 days of start (includes comprehensive panel)

  • Immunizations and health documents required:

    • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years)
    • Negative TB test or chest X-ray (recent testing required)
    • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccines or positive titers
    • Hepatitis B series, titer, or declination
    • Varicella vaccines or positive titer
    • Seasonal flu vaccination or approved exemption/declination (required Oct 1 – March 31)
  • Competency exams and annual updates required (medication, dysrhythmia/EKG, core competencies)

  • Employee appearance policy must be acknowledged
