Job Opportunity: Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - Travel/Contract

Location: Atlantic City, New Jersey
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

Seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RRT or CRT accepted) for a travel contract position. The role involves working primarily with adult and NICU units, with some pediatric floor rotations if the candidate has pediatric experience (not PICU). The position requires floating between Atlantic City and Mainland campuses. No on-call duties. Every 3rd weekend required.

Required Qualifications

• License: New Jersey state Respiratory Therapist license required at time of submission.
• Certifications:

  • BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA certified
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - AHA certified
  • For RRTs, must have either ACLS, PALS, or NRP in addition to BLS
• Experience: Minimum 2 years of Respiratory Therapy experience required.
• Prior Travel Experience: Not required; first-time travelers accepted.
• Other:

  • Respiratory Therapist must be ready to float between campuses.
  • Pediatric experience preferred but not mandatory.
  • Cerner charting experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with ventilators and respiratory equipment such as Servo I, Servo U, Trilogy, Oscillator, V60, Vapotherm.

Work Schedule

• Every 3rd weekend required
• No on-call responsibilities

Unit Information

• Adult Respiratory Therapy
• NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit)
• Pediatric floor rotations (if experienced)

Required Documentation & Compliance

• Valid NJ Respiratory Therapist license (primary source verification within 30 days of start)
• I-9 or attestation confirming work eligibility in the US
• Government-issued photo ID
• Background check within 30 days of start (7-year search, including international if applicable)
• Education verification
• Drug screening (10 panel within 60 days of start)
• Physical exam within 1 year of start
• Fit mask test within 1 year of start, updated annually (not required for lab or sterile processing techs)
• Immunizations/vaccinations or positive titers for:

  • Tdap (within 10 years)
  • Measles, Mumps, Rubella (vaccines or positive titer)
  • Hepatitis B (vaccines or positive titer)
  • Varicella (vaccines or positive titer)
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year of start
• Annual TB questionnaire
• Seasonal flu vaccination/documentation required (October 1 - March 31) with limited exemptions
• Signed HIPAA statement and orientation documents
• Pass/Fail in-house skills assessment during orientation (contract may be cancelled if failed)

• Scrubs: Ceil Blue
• Floating between campuses required
• No on-call duties
• Locals accepted with a rate differential if living within 50 miles of the facility
