Job Opportunity: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics Specialist

Location: Wichita Falls, Texas
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Requirements

• Experience:

  • Level III NICU experience required
  • Pediatric/nursery experience preferred
  • Basic critical care experience preferred
  • CRT accepted
• Systems: Epic experience strongly preferred
• Start Date: 1/12 or 1/26 (firm)

Required Certifications

• ACLS (AHA Instructor, Provider, or RQI acceptable)
• BLS (AHA Instructor, Provider, or RQI acceptable)
• PALS (AHA Instructor, Provider, or RQI acceptable)
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) as applicable
• CHEMO (Chemotherapy) as applicable
• TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) as applicable
• EFM (Electronic Fetal Monitoring) as applicable
• ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course) as applicable
• NIH Stroke Certification as applicable
• State License Verification within 30 days of start
• NURSYS Verification for RN, LPN/LVN, AP within 30 days of start
• Tech Cert Verification (National) within 30 days of start
• Orientation Safety Manual Acknowledgement (annual update required)

Background Checks & Compliance

• Background check required within 1 year of start (includes SS Trace, County searches for last 7 years, Nationwide, Sex Offender)
• EPLS/GSA/SAM check required within 30 days of start
• HHS/OIG check required within 30 days of start

Health & Immunization Requirements

• Physical exam within 1 year of start (must be completed within 72 hours of signing contract)
• Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccine within 10 years of start
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray (2-step PPD or equivalent) within 1 year of start
• TB Questionnaire required regardless of TB status
• Rubeola (Measles): 2 vaccines or positive titer required (exempt if born before 1957)
• Mumps: 2 vaccines or positive titer required (exempt if born before 1957)
• Rubella: 2 vaccines or positive titer required (exempt if born before 1957)
• Hepatitis B: Positive titer, series, or declination required
• Varicella: 2 vaccines, positive titer, or history of chickenpox required
• Drug testing: Negative 9-panel drug screen within 1 year of start (instant acceptable)
• Flu vaccine required during flu season (10/1-5/31); medical/religious exemptions subject to review
• COVID vaccination documentation required

Additional Requirements

• 2 professional references within 3 years of start
• Resume or employment application required
• Skills checklist required (annual update)

Facility Specific Requirements

• Flu medical or religious exemption forms if applicable
• Parking policy acknowledgment prior to start
• Various facility-specific orientation and compliance forms to be completed prior to start
