Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (Travel/Contract)

Location: Columbia, Missouri
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

• Schedule: Three 10-hour shifts (1000-2030)
• Rotating holidays, call, and weekend call required
• Must be able to work at assigned location for the full contract term
• Must be able to work the full shift, take call, work assigned weekends, and at least 50% of holidays during the contract
• Experience Required: Minimum 1 year ICU experience
• Prior Travel Experience: Required (first-time travelers not accepted)

Required Certifications

• BLS (Basic Life Support): AHA or ARC Provider card required for all RNs
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support): Required for ICU and critical care areas including Cath Lab, CCU, CVICU, ER, GI Lab, ICU, MICU, Neuro ICU, PACU, SICU, Tele
• Other certifications may be required depending on specialty area (check with recruiter if applicable)

Background and Compliance Requirements

• 7-year background check required within 60 days of start
• Separate EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG exclusion checks required within 60 days of start
• International background check required if candidate has traveled outside the USA in the last 7 years
• State-specific Missouri background checks (MO FCSR or MO Caregiver search) required within 60 days of start; candidate cannot start with both pending
• Primary source verification of state nursing license required within 60 days
• NURSYS verification required within 60 days

Health and Immunization Requirements

• Physical exam within 1 year of start (must be initiated within 48 hours of signing)
• Negative TB test or chest x-ray within 1 year of start; annual updates required
• Immunizations or proof of immunity required for:

  • Rubeola (Measles)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Varicella
  • Hepatitis B (series or positive titer required; declinations no longer accepted for new candidates after 7/1/2023)
  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years or approved exemption)
• Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season (10/01 - 03/31)
• Negative 7-panel drug screen within 60 days of start

Additional Requirements

• 2 professional references within the last 2 years required
• Resume must include at least 7 years of employment history with no gaps greater than 30 days
• Photo for badge required for new candidates (forward-facing, neutral background)
• Fit mask test valid within 1 year required (not required for some non-clinical roles)
• Must complete facility-specific forms including confidentiality agreements and caregiver registration forms within 60 days of start
