Job Opportunity: Outpatient PTA (Physical Therapist Assistant) - Travel/Contract

Location: Leslie, Michigan (work primarily in Jackson, MI with some local travel)

Job Details

• Position: Outpatient Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)
• Shift: Flexible; can work 2-3 days per week or full-time
• On Call: None
• Weekends: None
• Small town, small clinic environment with a personal atmosphere
• Willing to consider a 1-year contract

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience in the specialty
• First-time travelers are welcome (prior travel experience not required)

Required Certifications & Documents

• Government issued photo ID (Driver’s License/State ID)
• Background checks including 7-year history, EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG (updated annually)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) preferred
• State License verification (primary source online verification)
• National Tech Certification as applicable
• Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam (as applicable)
• Competency Exam (must meet or exceed passing score)

Health & Compliance Requirements

• Physical exam within 1 year of start
• Negative TB test or Chest X-Ray within 1 year (with specific guidelines for past positives)
• Proof of immunity or vaccination for:

  • Rubeola (Measles)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B (titer, declination, or vaccine series)
  • Varicella (titer, vaccine, or history of chickenpox)
• 9 Panel Drug Screen within 1 year of start
• Seasonal Flu Vaccination or Declination during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31)

• References:

  • 2 professional references for travel, allied, or per diem acute care
  • 1 professional reference for per diem non-acute care
  • Not required for non-clinical roles
