Job Opportunity: Interventional Radiology Technologist (Travel/Contract)
Location: Columbia, Missouri

Job Description
- Support Neuro and Body Interventional Radiology procedures using single and biplane radiography units.
- Procedures include Y90, TIPs, chemo embolization, UFE, PAE, trauma, stroke, carotid stent, drains, biopsies, lumbar punctures, kyphoplasty, lines, ports, filters, peripheral stents, AV fistula declot/stenting, PE/DVTs.
- Work in a Trauma 1 and Stroke Center performing outpatient and inpatient procedures for adults, geriatrics, and pediatrics across all patient acuities.
- Utilize fluoro (Siemens) and ultrasound (Phillips) equipment.
- Department includes 5 Body IR physicians, 3 Neurointerventional physicians, and 9 IR techs when fully staffed.
- Call requirements: 1 weekend per month and 1-2 days of call per week; 2 techs on call each shift (primary and secondary).
- Must be able to work assigned shifts, take call, work weekends, and at least 50% of holidays during the contract.
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of experience in Interventional Radiology.
- First-time travelers accepted.
- Prior travel experience is NOT required.
Certifications & Licenses
- ARRT certification required for Interventional Radiology Technologists.
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) required for Interventional Radiology.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) required.
- Other certifications may be required depending on specialty and patient population.
Compliance & Documentation Requirements
- Background check: 7-year history required within 60 days of start, including alias search, counties lived/worked, federal and sex offender searches, social security trace, and international checks if applicable.
- Drug screening: Negative 7-panel drug test within 60 days of start.
- State-specific background checks and registrations (Missouri FCSR, MO EDL, MO Caregiver Background Screening) required within 60 days.
- Proof of identity (Driver’s License/State ID) and employment eligibility (I9, E-Verify).
- Physical exam within 1 year of start, initiated within 48 hours of signing.
- Immunizations and health screenings required:
- Negative TB test or chest x-ray within 1 year (updated annually).
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccination within 10 years or approved exemption.
- Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR) immunity or vaccination.
- Hepatitis B series or positive titer (declinations not accepted for new candidates after 7/1/2023).
- Varicella immunity or vaccination.
- Seasonal flu vaccination or approved exemption during flu season (10/01 - 03/31).
- Photo for badge (new candidates only).
- Completion of facility-specific forms including confidentiality agreements and caregiver registration forms.
Additional Notes
- Must be able to work at the assigned location for the full contract term.
- Resume must include at least 7 years of employment history with no gaps greater than 30 days.
- Two professional references required within the last 2 years.
