Job Opportunity: Radiology / Cardiology Technologist

Location: Escondido, California
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks (approximately 3 months)
Schedule: 5 days a week, 8 hours per day (5x8s), Days only (no alternate schedules)

Required Experience & Skills

• Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology
• Minimum Years of Experience: 2-3 years preferred
• Trubeam experience required
• Required Licenses:

  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) - Radiography (R) or Therapy (T)
  • AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Certifications & Training Requirements

• Mandatory Certifications:

  • BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA only, must carry copy at all times
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - AHA only, required for Radiology Tech - IR and other critical care areas
• Other certifications may be applicable depending on assignment (e.g., PALS, NRP, CHEMO, TNCC) but are not explicitly required for this role
• Pass/Fail arrhythmia exam prior to start for certain units including Radiology Interventional
• Online orientation and position-specific training modules will be assigned

Compliance & Background Checks

• I9 verification required
• Driver’s License or State ID with address required
• 7-year background check including:

  • County criminal search
  • National criminal search
  • Sex offender search
  • FACIS Level 3 (OIG/GSA)
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM check within 30 days of start
  • HHS/OIG check within 30 days of start
• Drug testing: Negative 9-panel drug screen within 30 days prior to start
• Physical exam within 1 year of start, signed by MD, DO, PA, or NP, confirming good health and free of communicable diseases
• Fit mask test within 12 months of start (annual renewal required for direct hires)

Health & Immunization Requirements

• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year, updated annually
• Annual TB questionnaire if past positive TB
• Immunizations or titers required (or declination accepted):

  • Rubeola (Measles)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B (vaccination series, positive titer, or declination)
  • Varicella
• Seasonal flu vaccination or declination required annually (flu season Oct 31 - Mar 31)
• COVID vaccination preferred; if unvaccinated, facility-specific declination required

Additional Requirements

• Badge photo with white background and shoulders included (no selfies) required prior to start
• Skills checklist and employment application required, must be updated annually
• Two professional references within 3 years required (from manager, supervisor, or charge nurse)
• HIPAA acknowledgment and compliance checklist required
• Medication and competency exams with minimum 80% pass rate required within 12 months of start
