Job Opportunity: Radiology / Cardiology Travel/Contract Position

Location: Metairie, Louisiana
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Requirements

Experience

• Minimum 2 years required, 3 years preferred
• Epic experience required
• Modalities: Invasive Cardiology, Electrophysiology, and Vascular (preferred to have all three, not required)
• Experience with:

  • Stents
  • Ablations
  • Paracentesis
  • Peripherals
  • Upper and Lower Extremities
  • Abdomen and Pelvic
  • Vascular Studies
  • Venous Access
  • Hemodynamic Monitoring

Certifications

• ARRT or RCIS
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• LSRT (temporary LSRT accepted; takes 3-5 days to issue with proof of ARRT)

Equipment Experience

• Required: Phillips single
• Preferred: Siemens, Bi-Plane

Work Schedule & Requirements

• Weekend: Once every fifth week
• Call: Yes, 5-8 shifts depending on staffing
• Holiday: Yes
• Float: No
• Facility requires coverage through Mardi Gras (Feb 13 - Feb 22); minimize time-off requests during this period

Uniform

• Scrubs supplied by facility

Compliance & Documentation Requirements

• Government-issued photo ID matching all documentation
• Background check within 6 months covering all locations lived/worked/schooled in past 7 years
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks within 30 days of start
• Various competency exams (Medication, Dysrhythmia/EKG, Core Parts I-III) required annually with minimum passing scores
• State license and NURSYS verification within 30 days of start
• Physical exam (within 12 months) and immunizations/vaccinations including:

  • Tdap (within 10 years)
  • TB testing (Qgold/Tspot or 2-step skin test within 3 months of start)
  • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) - 2 vaccines or positive titer required
  • Hepatitis B series, titer, or declination
  • Varicella - 2 vaccines or positive titer required
  • Seasonal flu vaccination required during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31) with exemptions accepted
• Drug screening within 30 days of start (specific panels depending on hire date)
• Employment application with 7 years of work history, no gaps over 30 days

Additional Notes

• Candidates must complete required certifications and competencies as per unit/department needs
• Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) certification may be required depending on unit
• Facility-specific policies such as employee appearance and flu declination forms apply
