Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - Oncology Clinic

Location: Leominster, Massachusetts
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Work in an outpatient infusion room administering chemotherapy and non-chemotherapy therapy infusions.
• 25 chair unit with provider on site during all open hours.
• Schedule: Monday to Friday, no weekends or holidays.

License & Certification Requirements

• Must have a valid Massachusetts nursing license.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) required.
• Chemo certification preferred.
• Previous Epic experience required.

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of recent/related nursing experience.
• Previous infusion clinic experience highly preferred.

Additional Requirements & Preferences

• Medication Exam/Pharmacology Competency Exam required.
• Pass/fail testing for medication and telemetry exams (if applicable) with minimum 80% on first day of orientation.
• Background checks including 7-year criminal background check, education verification, and state-specific clearances required.
• Physical exam within 12 months of start, including physician statement of fitness to work without restrictions.
• Immunizations and/or declinations required for:

  • TB (with questionnaire and possible chest x-ray if positive)
  • Hepatitis B
  • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella)
  • Varicella
  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap
  • Flu seasonal vaccination or declination (during flu season)
  • COVID-19 vaccination or declination (most recent vaccine required)
• Drug testing within 30 days of start.
• References: 2 references within 3 years of start.
• Employment application covering 7 years of employment history with explanations for gaps over 30 days.
• Skills checklist required prior to start and updated annually.

Work Environment

• Outpatient infusion clinic focused on oncology therapies.
• Provider present during all open hours to support nursing staff.
