Contract Length: 14 weeks
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of specialty experience required
- 1st time travelers accepted
- Prior travel experience: Not required

- Adults to Geriatrics
Unit & Work Environment
- Specialty: Renal Medical Surgical
- Patient Ratio: 1:5-6
- Unit Size: 49 rooms, average daily census of 48
- Electronic Systems: Epic (required), Pyxis, SBAR
- Scrub Color: Navy Blue
- Floating: Yes
- Call Requirements: None
- Weekends: Every other weekend
- Holidays: Must work major holidays during assignment (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Day, New Year’s Eve/Day)
- Return to Orientation (RTO): Maximum 7 days
Certifications Required
- BLS (Basic Life Support) – AHA or ARC accepted
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) may be required depending on specialty area
- Other certifications (PALS, NRP, EFM) may be required based on unit assignment
- State License verification required (Georgia)
- Annual NURSYS verification required
Competencies & Testing
- Medication/Pharmacology Competency Exam (required by agency)
- Color Blind Testing (required for all candidates)
- Dysrhythmia/EKG Competency Exam (required for certain specialties)
- Competency Exam for Nursing and Allied Health (agency requirement)
Health & Compliance Requirements
- Physical exam within 12 months of start
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months (with specific protocols for past positives)
- TB Questionnaire updated annually
- Immunizations:
- Measles, Mumps, Rubella (2 MMR vaccines or positive titer)
- Varicella (2 vaccines or positive titer)
- Hepatitis B series or signed declination
- Drug Testing: Negative 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start (instant acceptable under certain conditions)
- Flu vaccination or declination required for flu season (Nov 1 - Mar 31)
Documentation & Verification
- Background check required within 30 days of start (including education verification)
- Education verification required (degree related to specialty)
- Skills checklist within 12 months, updated annually
- Work history verification of most recent employer required (can be pending at start with proof it is in process)
- Two clinical references required by agency
Additional Notes
- Full compliance with all requirements is mandatory to start on time; delays in compliance may result in a 2-week pushback due to orientation scheduling
- Locals accepted at the same rate
- Number of non-billable orientation hours depends on contract length (e.g., 14 weeks = 14 hours)
