Job Summary

Seeking a Registered Nurse for the Infusion/Chemotherapy department to support program growth and expansion.

Shift: Day shift, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM)
Hours per week: 36

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in California
• Minimum of 1 year of infusion experience, including infusion experience within the last year
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Prior travel nursing experience

Background and Compliance Requirements

• 7-year background check required within 6 months of start, including SSN trace with all aliases, county searches, nationwide sex offender search, education verification, and international search if applicable
• FACIS Level 3 screening required within 2 weeks of start and monthly thereafter (or equivalent checks if FACIS III cannot be run)
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required and updated annually
• Education verification required (not required if highest education is high school)
• Sex offender search must be run within 90 days of start
• Drug screening: Negative 9-panel drug screen within 6 months of start (excluding marijuana/cannabinoids due to CA law)
• Employment application must include full 7 years of work history with no gaps
• Employment verification for up to 7 years required, with explanations for gaps over 30 days

Certifications and Competencies

• Unit-specific skills checklist required, renewed annually
• Medication/Pharmacology competency exam as applicable
• Dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam may be required
• Additional certifications may be verified depending on position requirements (e.g., PALS, CCRN, TNCC)

Health and Immunization Requirements

• Physical exam within 1 year of start, cleared for work
• Fit mask test within 1 year, renewed annually (with accommodations for religious exemptions or failed tests)
• TB screening questionnaire within 90 days of start, renewed annually
• Negative TB test (QGold, TSPOT, or PPD) within 90 days of start, renewed annually
• Immunizations or titers required:

  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years)
  • Measles (Rubeola)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B (series or declination)
  • Varicella
• Seasonal flu vaccination or signed declination required during flu season (Nov 1 – Apr 30)
• Color blindness exam if applicable (in-person exam only)
• Respiratory safety clearance required prior to start, renewed annually

Facility-Specific Documents and Requirements

• Candidate must review and sign facility-specific job description, standards of business conduct, code of conduct, vendor training, overpayment refund policy, and general regulatory orientation prior to start
• Conditional offer of employment attestation must be completed prior to start
• Religious accommodation forms required if applicable for facial hair or vaccine exemptions
• Photo for badge required for per diem positions
