Job Opportunity: Radiology Registered Nurse (Travel/Contract)

Job Summary

Seeking a Radiology Registered Nurse with at least 1 year of radiology nursing experience. This is a travel/contract position requiring flexibility with shifts and occasional weekend and floating duties.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in California
• Minimum 1 year of radiology nursing experience within the last year
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• ACLS issued by American Heart Association
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• PALS certification
• Harassment Prevention Training Certificate
• Strong IV placement skills

Job Details

• Shift: May change to 12:00 PM – 8:30 PM; flexibility required
• Weekend Requirement: 1 weekend every 6 weeks
• Floating: Required as needed
• On-Call: Not required
• First Time Travelers: Accepted with radiology experience

Compliance and Documentation Requirements

• Background checks including SS trace, county searches, nationwide sex offender check, and education verification
• Primary source verification of license within 30 days prior to start
• Drug testing within 1 year of start and updated annually (excluding marijuana/THC panel starting 1/1/24)
• Immunizations and health documents including:

  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray (if history of positive TB)
  • Tdap vaccine or declination
  • Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella immunity or vaccination/declination
  • Hepatitis B immunity or vaccination/declination
• Fit mask test within 1 year of start (specific mask types required)
• Flu seasonal vaccination for 2025-2026 season mandatory with no exemptions accepted for per diem travelers
• COVID vaccine or declination form required

Additional Requirements

• Completion of facility-specific orientation modules, safety and disaster preparedness quizzes, and policy acknowledgments prior to start
• Must sign various facility-specific documents including confidentiality agreement, attendance policy, meal break policy, and standards of behavior
• Timekeeping acknowledgment form must be signed prior to start
• Must comply with facility’s float policy if assigned to ICU, NICU, or Med Surg units

Notes

• Pending license applications are not accepted; license must be active at time of submission
• Candidate must be flexible with shift changes and floating assignments
• Prior travel experience is not required for this position
