Job Opportunity: Mammography Tech

Location: Battle Creek, Michigan
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Perform routine mammography screening and diagnostic exams using GE Senoclaire and Hologic equipment.
• Conduct bone density studies in addition to mammography.
• Operate the mammography unit including opening and closing daily.
• Prepare paperwork related to exams and perform other related duties as assigned.
• Work under minimal supervision following established policies and procedures.
• No call, weekend, or float requirements.

Required Qualifications

• Mammography Technologist with at least 1 year of experience, including experience within the last year.
• BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association.
• ARRT certification in Mammography.
• Experience performing bone density studies.

Required Compliance & Documentation

• Criminal background check within 45 days of start, including lifetime search and multiple verifications.
• Michigan fingerprinting required within 45 days of start.
• Education verification (copy of highest degree or diploma).
• Physical exam within 1 year of start.
• Drug testing: 10-panel including Marijuana/THC within 30 days of start.
• Immunizations and health requirements:

  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (proof of at least one prior Tdap vaccine)
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray as applicable
  • Measles, Mumps, Rubella (2 vaccines or positive titer)
  • Hepatitis B (titer, series, or declination)
  • Varicella (2 vaccines or positive titer)
  • Seasonal flu vaccination or approved exemption (for candidates starting after November 1)
• Completion of facility-specific documents such as Code of Conduct, Appearance Standards Policy, and others as applicable.
• Completion of competency exams and medication/pharmacology competency within 1 year prior to assignment start.

Additional Notes

• Must complete a skills checklist annually.
• One professional reference from a supervisor or manager required.
• Complete employment application/resume with full 7 years work history, no gaps.
• Fit testing required on-site for certain roles; not required for this position.
• No prior travel experience required for this role.
