Location: Newark, New York
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Schedule
- Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
- Guaranteed 37.5 hours per week
- Float required to all other locations
Job Description
- Work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Ortho experience preferred
- Must be flexible, dependable, punctual, adaptable, and have strong communication skills

Requirements/Qualifications
- Valid X-Ray Technician license in New York
- Minimum 1 year of X-Ray Technician experience within the last year
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- Experience imaging AC joints
- Imaging of: Ankle, Femur, Foot, Knee, Cervical Spine, Hip, Lumbar Spine, Thoracic Spine, Clavicle, Elbow, Forearm, Hand, Humerus, Scapula, Shoulder, Thumb or finger, Wrist
Required Documentation and Compliance
- Government-issued photo ID
- 7-year criminal background check (including felony checks) within 3 months of start
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks within 3 months of start, updated monthly
- Education verification from primary source (transcripts/diplomas if no verification on file)
- Physical exam within 1 year of start, updated annually
- Fit mask test within 1 year of start, updated annually
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year of start
- Required immunizations or proof of immunity: Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella
- Drug screening within 30 days of start
- Seasonal flu vaccination or signed declination during flu season
- Snellen eye exam within 1 year of start
- COVID vaccination copy preferred but not required
- References (2 within 3 years) required for some candidates
- Employment application and work history verification required
- Annual skills checklist and competency exams as required
- Color blindness test required once
- Orientation safety manual acknowledgement required
- State-specific requirements including nurse aide registry and criminal background checks as applicable
Additional Notes
- Locals accepted but at a lower rate
- National certifications such as ACLS, PALS, NRP, TNCC, EFM may be required depending on unit description
- Some certifications and verifications must be completed within 30 days of start
- Candidates must complete health-related requirements and lab work within 5 days of signing the contract
