Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in California
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Minimum 1 year of PCU (Progressive Care Unit) experience within the last year
• Telemetry experience
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification or competency

Experience Requirements

• Specialty: Registered Nurse – PCU/Telemetry
• Minimum years of specialty experience: Not explicitly stated, but PCU and Telemetry experience required (implied at least 1 year)

Background & Documentation Requirements

• Criminal background check within 1 year, including statewide, nationwide, sex offender, SS trace, and federal searches
• Education verification and proof of graduation from an accredited nursing program
• Two professional references within 1 year from leadership (e.g., Nurse Manager, Charge Nurse)
• Verification of employment for past 3 years
• Signed confidentiality agreement and HIPAA acknowledgment
• Signed unit-specific job description prior to start
• Signed orientation and skills self-assessment documents
• Completion of medication/calculation exam and arrhythmia recognition assessment (EKG exam) with minimum 80% passing score
• Signed acknowledgment of workplace violence prevention and other facility-specific policies

Additional Notes

• Orientation modules are completed onsite; registry nurses sign a waiver instead of completing modules remotely
• Per diem candidates have some differing requirements, but this is a travel/contract position
• Universal masking required on-site for candidates without current flu and COVID vaccinations; exemptions available with documentation
• Badge and identification requirements include government-issued photo ID and facility-specific badges
• Candidates must comply with all health and safety policies, including infection control and immunization standards
