Job Opportunity: Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT)

Location: Wichita Falls, Texas
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Level III NICU experience preferred
• Pediatric/nursery experience preferred
• Basic critical care experience preferred
• Epic system experience strongly preferred
• Must be able to start by April 6, with possible consideration for April 20 start

Required Qualifications

• Valid Pediatric Respiratory Therapist license in Texas
• Minimum of 1 year of Pediatric Respiratory Therapist experience within the last year

Compliance & Documentation Requirements

• Government-issued photo ID required
• Background check within 1 year of start (includes SS trace, county searches, nationwide, sex offender registry)
• E-Verify and other federal checks required within 30 days of start
• Physical exam within 1 year of start (must be completed within 72 hours of signing contract)
• Immunizations and health screenings required (must be current or completed within specified timeframes):

  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years)
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray (within 1 year)
  • Measles, Mumps, Rubella (2 vaccines or positive titer; exemptions apply)
  • Hepatitis B (positive titer, series, or declination)
  • Varicella (2 vaccines, positive titer, or history of chickenpox)
  • Flu vaccine required seasonally (with possible medical/religious exemptions)
  • COVID-19 vaccination documentation required
• Drug testing required (negative 9-panel drug screen within 1 year)
• Annual updates for certain documents and competencies may be required

Additional Requirements

• Two professional references within 3 years of start
• Resume or employment application required
• Skills checklist required and must be updated annually
• Completion of facility-specific orientation and compliance forms prior to start

Notes

• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this position
• Pediatric and NICU experience is preferred but not mandatory
• Candidates with CRT certification and relevant experience are encouraged to apply
