Job Details

• Shift: 4x10 hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM
• Weekend Requirement: Yes
• On-call Requirement: Yes

  • 9-13 days of call in a 6-week period
  • Call hours: 5:30 PM - 7:00 AM weekdays, 5:30 PM Friday – 7:00 AM Monday on weekends (rotating schedule)
• Floating: No floating required
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
• First-timers: Not accepted (prior experience required)
• Local Candidates: Accepted (local rate adjustment applies)
• Pending State License: Not accepted

Required Experience & Qualifications

• Valid Interventional Radiology Technologist license in Maryland
• Minimum 2 years of experience as an Interventional Radiology Technologist, including experience within the last year
• Cath Lab Technologist experience
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification

Required Licenses

• Must hold a valid license appropriate for the Interventional Radiology Tech role (license must be current and valid in Maryland or compact state with proof of residency)

Additional Requirements

• Must be able to meet call schedule requirements
• Physical exam within 1 year of start date
• Fit mask test within 1 year of start date (annual updates required)
• Negative 10-panel drug screen within 1 year of start date
• Required immunizations and titers:

  • Tdap vaccine within 10 years
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year
  • Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella: Positive titer or 2 vaccines (boosters required if negative)
  • Hepatitis B: Proof of vaccination, positive titer, or declination
  • Flu vaccine required annually (declinations not accepted)
• Background checks including 7-year criminal history, EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG
• Proof of 2 clinical references
• Competency exams as applicable, including Moderate Sedation Competency and IR specialty testing
• Orientation Safety Manual Acknowledgement required

Summary

This is a travel contract position for an experienced Cath Lab/Interventional Radiology Tech in Maryland. The role requires a minimum of 2 years of specialty experience, specific certifications (ACLS, BLS, RCIS), weekend and on-call availability, and compliance with comprehensive health, background, and competency requirements. First-time travelers are not accepted.
