• License Requirement: Valid California RN license required (pending license not accepted)

• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) – Current certification by AAP, AHA, or Canadian Paediatric Society
• Chemotherapy Certification (if applicable)
• Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM) (if applicable)
• IV Certification (if applicable)
• Management of Assaultive Behavior (MAB) (if applicable)
• NIH Stroke Certification (if applicable)
• CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) (if applicable)

Required Background and Compliance Documents

• Government-issued photo ID

• Social Security Card (for certain state checks)

• I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification

• E-Verify Attestation

• Background Check (within 45 days of start, covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years)

• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks (updated monthly)

• Education Verification (nursing degree verification required)

• State-specific background checks as applicable

• Physical Exam within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO

• Drug Screening: 10-panel drug screen within 90 days of start (no instant tests)

• Immunizations and Health Documents:

  • TDAP (Tetanus/Diphtheria/Pertussis) within 10 years or declination
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months, updated annually
  • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer
  • Hepatitis B vaccination or signed declination
  • Varicella vaccination or positive titer
  • Seasonal Flu vaccine or declination (required during flu season)
  • COVID-19 vaccine or declination

• Respiratory Safety Clearance (annual medical clearance for respirator use)

Additional Requirements

• References: Minimum 2 references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting, from supervisors
• Employment Application: Must include at least last 5 years of employment history
• Skills Checklists: Required for applicable units, updated annually
• Competency Exams: Medication test/pharmacology and other competency exams as applicable
• Float Policy Acknowledgement: May be required to float to other nearby facilities

Training and Modules

• Completion of required regulatory and specialty-specific training modules annually via LMS platform
• Epic system training modules may be required depending on region and role
• Trauma-informed care and other facility-specific training may be required

Work Environment

• Scrub color provided
• No weekend or holiday shifts required
• Patient acuity and daily census vary by unit

Requirements/Qualifications

• Valid RN license in California
• Minimum 1 year of Operating Room (OR) experience within the last year
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
