MS/Tele Float

Overview

Travel/Contract role in Oakland, California.
Home location is Highland Hospital.
Float scope: if critical need arises, may float to Alameda Hospital and San Leandro with 4–6 hours’ notice before shift; will not be asked to float mid-shift.
Assignment dates are firm, with a possible extension.
Candidate is expected to work 2–3 holidays based on unit needs.

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in California
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Med Surg / Telemetry (2 years of experience)
Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association
BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
Management of dysrhythmias
Telemetry - remote monitoring
Use of Rapid Response Teams
Blood Product Administration
Phlebotomy
Starting IVs
Non-invasive airway management

Schedule

Night shift
3x12 hours
19:00–07:00
36 hours per week

Contract Length

17 weeks

Additional Notes

Max RTO is 7 days.
Holiday RTO will likely not be approved.
RTO over 5 days will not be prioritized.
Blackout dates: Nov 22–Nov 30 and Dec 21–Jan 4.
