Job Overview

• Travel/contract RN position in Kansas City, Missouri
• Day shift: 3x12 hours, 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM
• 36 hours per week
• Contract length: 13 weeks
• First-time travelers accepted
• Local candidates accepted
• Floating may be required within scope, including other PCU floors
• On-call required: 1–2 weekdays per week and 2 weekends per 13 weeks
• Weekend requirement: 8 weekend shifts in each 6-week schedule period
• Holiday shifts and charge RN assignments may be required
• No block scheduling
• RTO limit: no more than 7 days

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Missouri
• PCU - Progressive Care Unit (2 years of experience)
• PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience within the last year
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• ACLS issued by American Heart Association
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Experience working with Level 1 Trauma patients
• Blood product administration
• Starting IVs
• Phlebotomy

Relevant Clinical Experience and Skills

• PCU/DOU/IMC/stepdown experience
• Blood product administration
• Peripheral line care/management
• PICC line management
• Starting IVs
• PCA medication management
• Ortho trauma
• Peripheral nerve block catheters
• Total joint replacements
• Surgical drains
• Isolation precautions
• Wound care and wound vacs
• Traction, bulb syringe, braces, casts, crutches, doppler, walker, hemovac, PICC line, midline, Alaris pump, and PCA equipment

Additional Notes

• Ratios are typically 1:5 and may occasionally flex to 1:6
• Government-issued ID required
• Pending license not accepted
