Job Overview
- Location: Fort Lauderdale, Florida
- Employment type: Travel/Contract
- Contract length: 13 weeks
- Shift: Night, 3x12 hours
- Hours per week: 36
- Schedule notes: Every other weekend, float as needed, holidays as needed
- Patient ratio: 2:1 or 1:1
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Florida
- CVICU (3 years of experience)
- CVICU experience within the last year
- ACLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
- NIHSS issued by American Heart Association
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- CCU - Coronary Care experience
- Trauma experience
- Neuro ICU experience
- Experience with Epic
Preferred Experience
- Charge RN experience
- Neuro ICU experience
Compliance and Pre-Start Requirements
- Background check within 6 months of start, covering all locations lived, worked, or attended school in the past 7 years
- Education verification or acceptable alternate documentation if verification is unavailable
- Fingerprint clearance dated within 30 days of start
- Physical exam completed within 6 months of start
- Annual fit test using approved mask model
- Negative QuantiFERON TB test within 6 months of start, or chest X-ray if there was a past positive result
- Immunization or immunity documentation for measles, mumps, rubella, hepatitis B, and varicella
- Negative 10-panel drug screen within 12 months of start
- Flu vaccination, declination, or exemption during flu season
- Annual TB questionnaire
- Annual skills checklist
Training and Orientation
- Online orientation and required modules must be completed before start
- Medication test/pharmacology competency exam required
- Color blind testing required
- Competency exam required as applicable to the specialty
Additional Notes
- Local candidates within 60 miles are considered
- Epic experience is required
