Job Opportunity: Labor and Delivery Nurse (Travel/Contract)

Location: Issaquah, Washington
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Shift: Day (3 shifts per week, 12 hours each, 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM)
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

Work in Labor and Delivery with patient diagnoses including labor, preterm labor, OB-GYN, post-op, pre-op, scrub, low risk antepartum, and low risk labor and delivery.
Unit includes 8 labor rooms and 4 triage rooms.
Responsibilities include circulating, attending deliveries (including high risk), couplet care, GYN surgeries, and care in transition nursery.
Special procedures: blood/blood products administration, cardioversion/defibrillation, use of cooling/warming blankets, drains, epidural pumps, PCA pumps, syringe pumps, wound vac, and administration of heparin, insulin, magnesium sulfate.
Staffing ratio ranges from 1:1 to 1:3.
Float assignments may include postpartum and NICU based on skill set.

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Washington.
Minimum of 2 years of Labor and Delivery nursing experience, with at least some experience within the last year.
Completion of at least one travel nursing assignment.
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
Current certifications:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) issued by the American Heart Association
- Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM)
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
- AWHONN Intermediate (Association of Women's Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses)
Experience with Epic electronic medical record system.
