Electrophysiology Tech - Travel/Contract

Location: Roanoke, Virginia
Contract Length: Up to 26 weeks


Job Details

  • Shift: 4x10 hour shifts, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM, with rotating late shifts
  • Schedule: No weekends, no call requirements; staff rotate staying late if cases extend into the evening
  • Holiday: Must be available to work or take call one holiday per 13-week contract (rotated with staff)
  • Charting System: Epic required
  • Locals: Not accepted; must live at least 50 miles from the facility based on driver's license address
  • First-Time Travelers: Accepted

Required Qualifications

Licenses & Certifications

  • ACLS
  • BLS
  • ARRT(R)
  • CCI

Experience & Skills

  • Minimum 1 year of Electrophysiology Technician experience within the last year

Required Documentation & Compliance

  • Valid Driver’s License/State ID with address more than 50 miles from facility (required within 48 hours of signing)
  • 7-year background check (covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years) within 1 year of start
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start and updated for contract renewals
  • Education verification of highest earned degree
  • Physical exam within 1 year confirming freedom from communicable diseases
  • Negative TB test (PPD, QGold, or TSpot) within 1 year or clear chest X-ray if past positive, updated annually
  • Fit test for mask within 1 year, updated annually (not required for students)
  • Negative 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start
  • Photo for badge (professional, plain background, no selfies or filters)
  • Completion of facility-specific new hire paperwork and orientation manual acknowledgment prior to start
  • References: 2 clinical references or hospital evaluations required
  • Skills checklist updated annually

Additional Information

  • Radiation badge must be supplied by the facility (not provided by agency for new candidates)
  • Facility closes on Carilion holidays
  • Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks
  • Must comply with facility’s access and confidentiality agreements and compliance checklists
  • Must complete all required certifications and competency exams as applicable
