Job Description

Under general supervision, perform advanced professional work in exposing and processing radiographic images and fluoroscopy examinations. May circulate to other diagnostic radiology areas such as surgery, trauma, and pediatrics. Recognized as an expert in the field or participate in training programs to enhance skills in specialized radiology areas or modalities.

Essential Responsibilities

• Operate standard and portable radiology equipment for radiographic examinations and fluoroscopy studies, including intravenous pyelography, cystography, gastrointestinal series, and body section radiography.
• Assist physicians and perform specialized imaging procedures.
• Troubleshoot and resolve equipment and film output issues.
• Serve as a resource and preceptor for other Radiographers and/or students.
• Participate in training programs to enhance skills in Computed Tomography, Magnetic Resonance Imaging, or Special Procedures.
• Maintain records, inventory, and equipment for the primary area of responsibility.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Knowledge of diagnostic radiography techniques.
• Knowledge of operation and maintenance of radiographic equipment.
• Ability to prioritize assignments effectively.
• Ability to assess, treat, and care for patients of varying ages.
• Good interpersonal skills.
• Ability to communicate technical information clearly to patients and/or parents.
• Computer skills.

Preferred Skills & Experience

• Minimum 1 year full-time experience as a certified or registered cardiovascular or radiologic technology professional in the specialty required by the hiring department.
