Job Description

• Perform thorough and systematic patient assessments across all age groups (Pediatric to Geriatric).
• Deliver competent and appropriate nursing care to telemetry patients.
• Demonstrate knowledge and skill in emergency equipment and procedures.
• Maintain complete and accurate documentation of nursing processes and patient progress, including patient education.
• Uphold professional practice responsibilities and adhere to policies and procedures.
• Promote patient and family-centered care with professionalism and confidentiality (HIPAA compliance).
• Follow National Patient Safety Goals, including Universal Protocol and patient identification standards.
• Use safe transfer techniques and proper body mechanics.
• Understand conditions, procedures, and equipment related to surgical patients; individualize care accordingly.
• Provide pre-operative and postoperative assessments and patient education.
• Support timely completion and evaluation of Pre Admission Testing (PAT) orders.

Requirements

• Specialty: Registered Nurse (RN) with Telemetry experience
• Years of Experience: Minimum 1 year hospital acute care experience
• Certifications:

  • BLS (Basic Life Support) - Required
  • Dysrhythmia Certification - Required
• Licensure: Valid RN License - Required
• Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing; Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree preferred

Contract Length

• 52 weeks (1 year)

Physical Requirements

• As defined by Occupational Safety/OMS standards
