Key Responsibilities

• Provide individualized, holistic, and therapeutic nursing care to patients and families.
• Perform nursing process including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.
• Promote quality outcomes and collaborate with healthcare team members in managing complex or high-risk clinical situations.
• Serve as patient and family advocate to ensure excellent care and participation in decision-making.
• Develop, implement, and adapt comprehensive, age- and culturally-appropriate care plans.
• Assess and address patient and family educational needs using adult-learning theory.
• Recognize communication barriers and seek interdisciplinary expertise to establish therapeutic relationships.
• Delegate and assign care tasks within scope of practice to other healthcare team members.
• Coordinate and communicate with healthcare team and ancillary staff to support patient progress and workflow.
• Document patient care and responses according to department guidelines and policies.
