Valid Pathologists' Assistant license in New York
Pathologists' Assistant (2 years of experience)
Pathologists' Assistant experience within the last year
Bachelor's degree
Experience in a(n) Acute Care setting
Grossing specimens and performing autopsies

Job Summary

Processes and documents specimens under the direction and supervision of a licensed physician who practices anatomic pathology
Collects and prepares samples for pathology analysis
Conducts tissue and fluid examination as needed
Assists with postmortem examinations
Maintains laboratory organization, safety, inventory, and equipment
Prepares reports, files documents, and supports specimen accessioning, labeling, storage, and disposal
