Registered Nurse Travel Opportunity

Location: Berlin, Wisconsin
Contract Length: 12 weeks
Shift: 12-hour day shifts (5:30 AM - 6:00 PM)
Hours per Week: 36 hours guaranteed
Weekend Rotation: Every other weekend
Holiday Rotation: As needed

Job Description

• Long Term Care (LTC) Registered Nurse position with some Rehab patient care
• Unit includes 20 long-term care beds and 17 rehab beds
• Patient ratio approximately 1 RN to 17-20 patients; sometimes only 1 RN on duty from midnight to 3:30 PM
• Float requirement to a secondary facility 40 miles away, serving Rehab and LTC patients
• No on-call or call-back requirements
• Missed shifts must be made up within 2 weeks

Required Qualifications

• Current Wisconsin RN license
• AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Minimum 2 years of recent LTC experience (including post-acute care) required
• Wound care experience and ability to follow MD orders
• Skills in PIV insertion and blood draws required
• Charting experience preferred in Epic; Pyxis experience highly preferred
• Associates degree in Nursing or higher

• Orientation: 5 days total (1 day onboarding plus 4 shifts with a preceptor)
• Scrub color: Any color allowed for nurses
• Local candidates accepted
• Strongly preferred: prior travel experience
