Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry

Location: Princeton, Indiana
Employment Type: Travel Contract

Contract Details

• Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour nights
• Hours: 36 hours guaranteed per week, with opportunity for extra shifts based on census
• Weekend/Holiday: Every other weekend and every other holiday rotation
• Float: Not required
• On Call/Call Back: Not required

Unit Information

• Patient-to-nurse ratio: 4-6 patients (6 is occasional, not typical)
• Unit includes 2 ICU beds
• Scrub color: Navy

Required Qualifications

• License: Indiana RN license or Compact RN license
• Certifications:

  • AHA BLS
  • AHA ACLS
  • NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience in Medical Surgical / Telemetry specialty
• Must pass 12 lead EKG and Dysrhythmia exam
• EPIC charting experience highly preferred

Required Skills

• Medical Surgical / Telemetry skill set including:

  • IV starts
  • Medication administration
  • Foley catheter care
  • NG tube feeding
  • Activities of Daily Living (ADLs)
  • IV drips

Additional Information

• 40-mile radius rule: No local candidates accepted
• COVID-19 vaccine not required (subject to change)
• Guaranteed hours except during holidays when the unit is closed
• Orientation week hours may vary
