Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse

Overview

• Travel assignment in Jasper, Indiana
• 13-week contract
• Night shift: 12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM
• Primary unit: Labor/Delivery
• Floating may be required to Postpartum or Mother/Baby within the same department
• No call requirement
• Weekend and holiday schedule depends on unit needs; no more than 2 weekends per 6 weeks
• Guaranteed hours: 36 per week

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Indiana
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Labor and Delivery (3 years of experience)
• Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
• BLS
• NRP
• ACLS
• Spinning Babies experience (or similar)
• Experience with Epic

Skills and Experience

• Circulating Cesareans
• Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
• Good communication with patients, coworkers, and providers
• Ability to work hard, adapt to change, and remain resilient
• Social and team-oriented demeanor

Clinical Setting

• Level 2 rural hospital
• Average of 70 babies per month
• OB/GYN, family practice, pediatric hospitalist, and anesthesia support available
• High VBAC volume and low primary C-section rate

Additional Notes

• No local candidates within a 40-mile radius
• EPIC and OBIX charting experience mentioned
• Scrubs are Caribbean Blue and provided by the facility
• Up to 3 call-ins can result in termination
• COVID-19 vaccination not required, subject to change
• Guaranteed hours may not apply during orientation week or when the unit is closed for holidays
